The Story Behind the Starter

35+ years ago, Emma's mum received a jar of sourdough culture from a German woman living in Australia. That culture had already been passed across multiple generations in her family.

Emma's mum continued to feed and nurture the starter while teaching her children the art of sourdough baking. This starter is what Emma uses for all her homemade breads, from raisin loaves and cinnamon scrolls to hearty sourdoughs and soft buns!
